Woodward |5437-1124| ProTech-GII Overspeed Protection
Description
The 5437-1124, known as the ProTech-GII Overspeed Protection Device, is designed for safeguarding rotating machinery against overspeed conditions. It provides protection by monitoring the speed and acceleration of the equipment and initiating a trip action when predefined limits are exceeded.
Features
- Monitors speed and acceleration.
- Configurable through software (PCT).
- Supports RS-232 communication.
- Stores and logs operational data.
- Offers a user interface with soft keys for navigation and configuration.
Technical Specifications
- Speed Monitoring: After SpeedRedMgr, if used, RPM range from 0 to 32,500.
- Acceleration Monitoring: After AccelRedMgr, if used, RPM/Sec range from -32,500 to 32,500.
- Module Specific Readings: Each module (A, B, C) can independently monitor speed (0 to 32,500 RPM) and acceleration (-32,500 to 32,500 RPM/Sec).
- Overspeed Setpoint: Locally configurable up to 32,500 RPM.
- Test Mode Time Remaining: Up to 65,535 seconds.
- Speed Fail Time Remaining: Up to 65,535 seconds.
- Temp Overspeed Setpoint: Configurable up to 65,535 RPM.
- Simulated Speed: Up to 65,535 RPM.
- Last Trip Timestamp: Recorded in month (1-12), day (1-31), year (2000-2099), hour (0-23), minute (0-59), second (0-59), millisecond (0-999).
- Unit Health Status: Enumerated value (0 to 2).
- Auto-Sequence Test Status: Enumerated value (0 to 3).
-
Communication Interface:
- RS-232: Baud rate 115200, non-isolated, cable length limited to 10 ft/3 m.
-
Safety Indicators:
- Tripped Indicator: Illuminates red upon a tripped condition.
