The Trusted® TMR 24 Vdc Analog Input module interfaces with 40 sourcing field input devices, acting as a current sink for all these devices. It performs comprehensive diagnostic tests on each input channel and achieves fault tolerance through a Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) architecture for each of the 40 input channels. The module includes built-in line monitoring to detect open and shorted field cables, with line monitoring functions independently configured for each input channel. It provides onboard Sequence of Events (SOE) reporting with a resolution of 1 ms, triggered by changes in state, and allows voltage thresholds to be configured on a per-channel basis.

Functional Block Diagram

The Trusted® TMR 24 Vdc Analog Input Module is part of the Trusted range of Input/Output (I/O) modules. All Trusted I/O Modules share common functionality and form. They interface with the Inter-Module Bus (IMB) for power and communication with the Trusted TMR Processor. Each module has a field interface for connecting to module-specific signals in the field. All modules are Triple Modular Redundant (TMR).

All High Integrity I/O Modules consist of four sections:

Field Termination Unit (FTU)
Front Panel Unit (FPU)
