Triconex|DO3401|Digital Output Module
- Dimensions: 16cm * 16cm * 12cm
- Weight: 0.8kg
-
TMR Digital Output Modules:
- Functionality: Receives output signals from the main processors on each of three channels.
- Voting Mechanism: Each set of three signals is voted by special quadruplicated output circuitry on the module, producing one voted output signal that is passed to the field termination.
- Redundancy: Quadruplicated voter circuitry provides multiple redundancy for all critical signal paths, ensuring safety and maximum availability.
- Self-Verification: Each TMR digital output module includes a voltage-loopback circuit to verify the operation of each output switch independently of the presence of a load and to detect latent faults.
-
Alarms:
- LOAD/FUSE Alarm Indicator: Activated if the detected field voltage does not match the commanded state of the output point.
- Fault Indicator: Activated if any diagnostic on any channel fails, indicating a channel fault but not a module failure.
- Diagnostics: Ongoing diagnostics are performed on each channel and circuit. Any failure activates the Fault indicator and the chassis alarm signal.
- Hot-Spare Capability: Supports hot-spare capability.
- External Termination Panel (ETP): Requires a separate ETP with a cable interface to the Tricon backplane.
- Installation: Mechanically keyed to prevent improper installation in a configured chassis.
- Field Power: Designed to source current to field devices, requiring field power to be wired to each output point on the field termination.
