Description

The MTL4575 is a single-channel temperature converter designed to convert a low-level DC signal from a temperature sensor in a hazardous area into a 4/20mA current for driving a safe-area load. It supports various thermocouple types and 2-, 3-, or 4-wire RTDs, with software-selectable features for linearization, ranging, monitoring, testing, and tagging.

Signal Conversion: Converts temperature signals to 4/20mA.
Thermocouple Support: Types J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N (BS 60584) and XK mV input.
RTD Support: 2/3/4-wire platinum (BS 60751 Pt 100, Pt 500, Pt 1000), Cu-50 & Cu-53, Ni 100/500/1000 (DIN 43760).
Cold Junction Compensation (CJC): Automatic or selectable, with ≤ 1.0°C error.
Alarm Output: Configurable for process alarm or early thermocouple failure detection.
Configuration: Using a personal computer with MTL PCS45 software and PCL45USB serial interface.
LED Indicators: Green for power and status, yellow for alarm indication.
