GE | PCI-5565 | Reflective Memory Interface
GE PCI-5565 Reflective Memory Interface
The GE PCI-5565 Reflective Memory interface enables data sharing between up to 256 independent systems (nodes) at rates up to 174 Mbyte/s. It features onboard SDRAM for fast read access times and efficient data broadcasts over a high-speed fiber-optic data path.
Key Features
- Network Transfer Rate: Ranges from 43 Mbyte/s (4 byte packets) to 174 Mbyte/s (64 byte packets).
- Dynamic Packet Size: Supports packet sizes from 4 to 64 bytes of data.
-
Fiber Connection:
- Multimode Fiber: Up to 300 m.
- Single Mode Fiber: Up to 10 km.
- Node Support: Accommodates up to 256 nodes.
- Memory Consistency: Data written to memory in one node is also written to memory in all nodes on the network.
- High-Speed Fiber-Optic Network: Operates at 2.12 Gbaud serially.
- Onboard SDRAM: Configurable with 64 Mbyte or 128 Mbyte.
- Transparent Data Transfer: Software transparent, with no I/O overhead required.
- Transmit and Receive FIFOs: Buffers data during peak data rates to optimize host computer and bus performance.
