Description
The DI890 is an 8-channel digital input module designed for use in hazardous areas, featuring intrinsic safety protection on each channel. It supports NAMUR proximity sensors or volt-free contacts and includes galvanic isolation between channels, the power supply, and ground. The module can detect line faults without additional external components when using NAMUR sensors, while volt-free contacts require external resistors for state sensing. Power to the input stages is derived from the 24 V power supply connections. The DI890 is compatible with TU890 (Ex applications) and TU891 (non-Ex applications), enabling two-wire connections to process devices without additional terminals.
