Description
The AI893 is an 8-channel analog input module designed for use in hazardous areas, featuring intrinsic safety protection on each channel. It supports both 2 and 3-wire RTD sensors and thermocouples (TC). In TC mode, Channel 8 can be configured as a Cold Junction (CJ) channel using a 3-wire Pt100 sensor to measure ambient temperature, serving as the reference for channels 1-7. Alternatively, Channel 8 can function as a regular input channel when CJ measurement is not required. The module enables three-wire connections to process devices without additional terminals and is compatible with TU890 (Ex applications) and TU891 (non-Ex applications).
